Summer’s Over –
Time to Get Moving Again!

What an eventful summer this has been! The weather in the northeast was good, then bad, then great. Unlike recent summer seasons, the weather patterns treated weekend and vacation-oriented businesses favorably, and brought many people out for day trips and long vacations alike. The ware in Iraq continues, London experienced its own terrorist attacks, and gas prices climbed steadily. Then, the Gulf states were hit by Hurricane Katrina, displacing tens of thousands of unfortunate Americans, creating an unknowable future for cities like New Orleans, disrupting oil supplies throughout the country, and driving gasoline prices as high as $5.89 per gallon in some parts of the country. All this has occurred while interest rates continue to climb, and the housing and commercial real estate investment markets still seem to be on fire.

With all that’s transpired, the economy is a delicate and often tricky thing, one that could be friendly or, in an instant turn on a dime and create our worst nightmares. So, it’s time for us to put away the beach balls and the suntan lotion, and get back to the business of business. We’ve got a country to grow, and there exist a lot of people around the globe who would be very pleased to see us stumble and fall.

Real Estate Strategies Corporation took the summer off from publishing Business, Profits and Strategy, and we are very excited about this new issue. Rest assured, we’re back in full swing, and have some exciting articles planned for you in the coming months. Please let us know that you wish to continue receiving Business, Profits and Strategy. Email us with the word “Remove” or “Renew” and we’ll gladly accommodate your request. We look forward to hearing from you; to providing you with exciting, creative, and innovative ideas and content; and to participating in keeping our great country going strong.
